The evolution of men’s luxury fake watches

Nicknamed the «Kermit» because of its slight resemblance to the beloved frog puppet, the 16610LV Submariner is one of the first Rolex Anniversary Edition replica watches to feature the company’s colors entirely. While the bright green bezel is easily the most prominent feature of the Ref. 16610LV Submariner, the use of a black dial helps to maintain a good balance, allowing the watch to be recognizably green while retaining a degree of diversity.
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Milgauss, a replica Rolex released the ref. 116400GV. While the watch’s dial is black, its sapphire crystal has been tinted green, creating a subtle, but certainly noticeable, green style. Admittedly, the green sapphire crystal is not the most blatant use of color, so the Ref. 116400GV Milgauss is not an all-green, Boston Celtics-themed timepiece that will guarantee you won’t be strangled on St. Patrick’s Day. However, for those who don’t want a «green watch» but don’t want to endure a day of well-intentioned pinching on the next St. Patrick’s Day, the Milgauss ref. 116400GV is a perfect choice.
Whereas the ref. 16610LV «Kermit» Submariner only has a green bezel, the ref. 116610LV «Hulk» has a bright green dial with sunburst accents. Although Rolex has produced many watches featuring the color green, on this St. Patrick’s Day, the Hulk Submariner is easily the greenest Rolex you can strap to your wrist.

In World War I, many soldiers preferred a watch that could be quickly read on the wrist to a timepiece safely tucked away in a uniform jacket pocket. One result of this was that, after the Great War, wristwatches became popular among men, many of whom had previously despised them as a feminine accessory.

The Art Deco style also influenced the design of the watch. the rectangular case of the Reverso, with parallel lines engraved on the top and bottom edges, was a product of the era.
With the outbreak of the Second World War, the military again strongly influenced the design of the 1940s.
